New York State, in cooperation with Microsoft's Elevate America program, is distributing FREE vouchers for select e-learning courses and certification exams. There are 3 types of vouchers available: 1) Information Worker - training on Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access). 2) IT Professional - courses specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass Microsoft Technical Certification exams (Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint and Visual Studio). 3) Business Certification Exam - provides you with access to the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) and Microsoft Office Specialist (MCOS) exams. The Information Worker and IT Professional vouchers must activated by June 24, 2010 and provide the user with 12-months of access to the various e-learning courses. Certification exam vouchers are only valid until June 24, 2010 - meaning that they must be activated and used by June 24, 2010.
Training is completely on-line and you can learn at your own pace at home, work, or your local One Stop. The vouchers are for the MS Windows editions and cannot be utilized on Apple computers. You must also have an e-mail account in order to access the training.
