Rotation #1 will be DCAD, Manufacturing, and Machine Tool. Rotation #2 will involve Robotics and Pneumatics as they pertain to manufacturing. We plan to involve 24-10th and 11th grade students. The camp will fun four days, from 9am until 2pm, from June 28th until July 1st. The students will be involved in activities on the Wellsville and Alfred campuses.
Rotation #1: DCAD, Manufacturing, and Machine Tool - The students will tour our Manufacturing facilities, receive instruction in basic DCAD, and design a small project. They will then receive instruction on our CNC machines and make a small prototype of their design. We will have two ASC Teachers working with the students throughout the process. Each student will go home with a small design and a manufactured prototype.
Rotation #2: Robotics, Pneumatics/Manufacturing - The students will tour our Robotics and Pneumatics facilities. The students will receive instruction in basic Robotics and Pneumatics. The students will build Vex Robots in teams of two. On day two of this rotation, the teams will compete against each other in a Robotic Competition. We will have two ASC Teachers working with the students throughout the process.
